Midsummer days are always filled with me trying to either get out of the house or I stay in and waste my life away on the computer. Here I was hanging out with friends at Sonics. I love Sonics because I eat it once in a blue moon, but I always end up ordering so much. I took these pictures while a snuggling Asian couple looked at me, and the quirky employees warned me about the wet grass. The employees must be the weirdest people ever, and seeing them in skates doesn't help.

I'm trying so hard to start reading books again. I feel like my mind needs to be active and it needs a little brain food. I just need to really let my mind wander into something else other than reality. I used to let myself worry about the problems of the women on Desperate Housewives, but I hate how all the characters have changed and I didn't like the changes. Now I just need another escape. I have a couple of books on my list, and I'll try to tell you guys about my readings.

I really love my paradise shirt. I was initially going to wear it to the Rookie Meetup, but I already told you guys about how the weather seemed to screw me over. I feel like the shirt has some Givenchy vibes, with a combination of Altuzarra. It it perfect for just a day out and relaxing.

what I resort to

Here are some of my favorite looks for Resort 2013. I saw that many people agree with me and believe that the resort collections this year have been more than marvelous. It really does get me excited for the Spring collections in the fall.

Alexander Wang

I love how gloomy this collection is. I really enjoy the alligator skin tops, they give the collection an edge along with a different texture. The white tee dress is my favorite because it reminds me of the gangsta attire that they wear in the bay. The shoes look amazing, with a marble looking heel. Everything in this collection gives me apocalyptic street wear vibes. I love how everything A. Wang makes is so wearable. 

Balenciaga

I really like the colors of the Balenciaga collection. I feel like the pastels are still appropriate and the cuts  add on to create such a whimsical effect. The black harness tops add a polish to the collection.

CÉLINE

The bandanna trend controlled this collection, but my favorite part about it was the sheer pants. Let me get dat.

 Givenchy

The scarf pattern really worked for Givenchy. I adored the shape of the pants and the way that they made the collection stand out. The colors really stand out but they still remain very chic. It is very refreshingly chic to see something so bold and polished. As you can see I really liked the sleeves of the tops, which are a combination of long sleeves and short sleeves with a little bit of a cape. Cape sleeves. SUPER.

 3.1 Phillip Lim 

Loved the creams of the collection. I however adored the leather overalls. I am here for overalls at the moment so I was satisfied with them. The paradise flower prints really please my summer vibes that radiant from my skin at the moment. I really feel like this collection had a lot of structure, and I enjoyed that. I really like structured clothes. And even though the clothes seem to drape on the skin, it still all seemed so perfectly polished.

Met Gala 2012

Let me just give you a list of my favorites of the night.

 Proof enough that Lana is perfect. Loved the cape, the gown, the lippy stick. 

 Honestly so cute. The F/W Marc Jacobs is styled so well in my opinion...and I heard she paired it with a bunny purse. I want red carpet pics though. Alexa Chung is always a favorite.

 Loving the witch vibes, and all the haters can hate. Team Mary-Kate.

 Karolina Kurkova in a full armor of beauty. Rachel Zoe

 The metallic seems to run off Camilla Bell so greatly. Ralph Lauren.

 Jessica Stam reminds us of the beauty of Dior.

 Even with a lobster on her dress, Anna still slays...I think the Prada lobster suits her well...such a strong creature. Bee looks beautiful Erdem.

 Bianca Brandolini had a glitz presence and I was loving it.

 SJP looked adorable, reminded me of a thrift store print...in a good way though!!! Very antique in Valentino

 I wasn't feeling it but it grew on me. Gisele in Givenchy

 Glad to see Stella repping Chanel. Loved it. It was simple, yet it stunned you.

And last but never least, Rooney Mara in Givenchy of course.

Alexa on the runway and I'm still feeling it.

I may add more as I see any that I missed. These were my favorites and I mean, I did expect some of these on this list. I liked Marc Jacobs just can't find a HQ picture. Heres a LQ picture though. He took a really daring risk.

Pastel Brunch

Recently I attended a Brunch which I decided to go more traditional, and wear nice pastels to (This was back in January, but I wanted to save it for later due to that I was looking for more inspiration, and I thought it would be perfect to start off the month of December with). I have really fallen for the pastel trend this season. I see a big difference in my outfits compared to last year's outfits around this time. 

So a little of catch up time first. February for me is usually nothing special. It is filled with the cliche Valentines Day celebrations, which I usually don't mind. I'm just a busy person and find myself to me quite complicated for a relationship at the moment. I really only like the day AFTER Valentines Day because all the chocolate is cheaper and I am able to indulge without having to go broke. Plus February is a Fashion MONTH, so I'm too busy keeping up everyday to even think about what I'm going to give my Valentine, if I happen to have one which is rare. February this year should be very inspirational. I'm working on a couple of cool projects that I can't wait to show you. 

H&M coat, Dior shirt, grandma's necklace

This whole post was pretty much inspired by Karl Lagerfeld's new cat, Choupette. I mean look at how innocent and cute it looks. It is pretty much the classiest cat to have ever existed in the history of cats. This is like the Queen of all cats here. It's a CHANEL cat. I love Karl's bathroom. The Kaiser shows of a beautiful bouquet of roses that just make the whole picture so serene and effortlessly beautiful.

This was a little tribute to me, seeing as whenever I go jogging with my family, I always look like I'm dressed for something pretty important. I mean I jog and walk faster when you think of life as a fashion show.

I just wanted to point out how proud I am of Allison Harvard. She was my favorite contestant in ANTM, and now she is walking in New York Fashion Week and even covering WeTheUrban's first printed issue. I mean she's the only model from the show that I know actually did something with her modeling career. I feel like I might be wrong, but Allison had such a cult following that she was really the only important one. Her latest appearance in ANTM All Stars was such a disappointment since she wasn't allowed to succeed and it seemed like the show was making her fail. She serisously has a lot of modeling talent, and the show went for a new direction and made everything seem like they were trying to see who could be like the Kardashians (I mean they made them SING and do a lot TV personality stuff that just wasn't what a fashion model did). I was upset she didn't win, but that is ok because she is doing fine, and her career is actually going somewhere. She recently favorited a tweet I sent to her, so she had me cheering like a fan girl. I tried to conceal my emotions from her, in order to avoid looking slightly creepy.

I'm also EXTREMELY proud of Lana Del Rey. Her debut album recently debuted at #1 on iTunes. Many say she debuted higher than Rihanna, and other artists. She is really talented, and I am so proud that her album is just pure magic. She is extremely poetic and just speaks to your soul. Her new cover on Vogue UK is really nice in my opinion. She is wearing Louis Vuitton, which is already a dear favorite, and she looks so soft with the pastels, yet really fierce with the long nails. I am really considering buying this issue, and just waiting for American Vogue to put her on the cover.

Givenchy Couture this season was perfect. I'm sure you have all seen it by now, so I'm not going to explain what has already been seen countless amount of times. I really like how Tisci took the nose rings and jewelry to the next level, compared to the men's show which also featured the nose ring. It made me really admire my grandmother's necklace more because it reminds me of Givenchy's metal accessories. 

I have a big feeling that this month will go by so fast, and March seems just around the corner. I will hope I have the time to do all I want to do for this month in time. I know that by the end of the month I will be quite content with all my monthly accomplishments. 

Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year! 新年快乐! Gong Hei Fat Choi! Now I got really excited this year about Chinese New Year. I was dying to go to San Francisco today since I wanted to be around all the festivities, but the weather was incredibly crummy to take BART (the subway) all the way there to just splash in puddles all day. I didn't let this stop me for dressing up in red and just prancing around the city wishing everyone a prosperous year of the Dragon. Yeah I know I'm not Chinese, or Asian but that didn't stop me from getting all excited. 

I am officially a Second Semester Senior now. This means that my Senioritis will reach a full effect. That means I have a lot more time to post some cool posts for all of you guys. This second semester is said to go by so fast due to all the fun we will be having, and so excited with all the acceptance letters we will receive. I'm going to try to stop talking about college until I get accepted somewhere due to all the anxiety I get just thinking about it. I have to deal with my mom's "depression" since she is having second thoughts about me leaving far away, across the country. She's just really so sad about her losing her favorite child. (hehehehe)

Since I saw this necklace I fell in love with it. It was my version of Givenchy's thorn crown necklace. This necklace was my grandma's until the pendant that was attached broke. She left it at our house, and I rescued it from being thrown away. I always feel like she is close to me when I wear it.

 Instead of going to San Francisco, Marissa made me crepes and we out to eat at Sonics for the first time. I went crazy ordering all the sides they had! Our "carhopper" was super weird and kind of scary but he was nice. His name was Joe.

 You probably already knew, but I have completely become obsessed with Lana Del Rey. I first heard her music back during the summer, but her new releases really have me worshiping her. I love her urban babe look, and it goes so well with her breathtaking looks. I loved her on SNL don't care for all the criticism. I was upset with Perez Hilton's remarks since he basically told people publicly not to buy to "the hype", and I don't care what it looks like but to me it seems like he is trying to ruin her. Which doesn't make sense to his whole "new change", in which he promised not to be such an asshole anymore. Some people never change, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. I cannot possibly wait no more for her album. I listen to her EP every morning.

 The more pictures I see of this campaign, the more I fall in love with it. My friend Karinna and I recently had a little discussion about mint prom dresses, and I wished she could wear these Louis Vuitton dresses.

 Since Alexa Chung is the Queen of the collared-shirt-under-the-crew-neck combo, she was my inspiration. I just feel this combo is such an easy style outfit for a regular day. Alexa Chung is featured in Vogue's February 2012 issue.

 Givenchy's campaigns demonstrate everything I love about this season's fashion in a couple pictures. The way my collared shirt hung out from top shirt made me think of Givenchy's man-skirts.

This was my me while I thought about how only like 3 people from outside my house would see me in my Chinese New Years outfit.

I just wanted to share with all of you that Jane Keltner de Valle, from Teen Vogue, recently saw my Elle Fanning post, and said she fancied it! I basically died a little when she tweeted that to me. This was a short little post, but I have posted quite a lot this month that I ran out of things to talk about. Well I have a lot of ideas, but I'm saving them all for next month!
