Met Gala 2012

Let me just give you a list of my favorites of the night.
Proof enough that Lana is perfect. Loved the cape, the gown, the lippy stick.
Honestly so cute. The F/W Marc Jacobs is styled so well in my opinion...and I heard she paired it with a bunny purse. I want red carpet pics though. Alexa Chung is always a favorite.
Loving the witch vibes, and all the haters can hate. Team Mary-Kate.
Karolina Kurkova in a full armor of beauty. Rachel Zoe
The metallic seems to run off Camilla Bell so greatly. Ralph Lauren.
Jessica Stam reminds us of the beauty of Dior.
Even with a lobster on her dress, Anna still slays...I think the Prada lobster suits her well...such a strong creature. Bee looks beautiful Erdem.
Bianca Brandolini had a glitz presence and I was loving it.
SJP looked adorable, reminded me of a thrift store print...in a good way though!!! Very antique in Valentino
I wasn't feeling it but it grew on me. Gisele in Givenchy
Glad to see Stella repping Chanel. Loved it. It was simple, yet it stunned you.
And last but never least, Rooney Mara in Givenchy of course.

EDIT:
P.S. Victoria Justice looked really adorable in McQ. Good choice, she made a great impression.
Alexa on the runway and I'm still feeling it.

I may add more as I see any that I missed. These were my favorites and I mean, I did expect some of these on this list. I liked Marc Jacobs just can't find a HQ picture. Heres a LQ picture though. He took a really daring risk.

I am from now on known as the world's flower baby

On beautiful Fridays, my friend Karinna and I wait for the bus and plan our endless NYC adventures. At the bus stop, I came across this beautiful flower and decided to care for it like it was my own. I stared at it, held it in my hand, and comforted it when it was upset. I nurtured it and and helped it become aware of how beautiful it was. I then soon realized that there were many more little flowers like this one on a nearby bush. I became amazed by new discovery. Had I discovered the lost city of El Dorado!? No, it was more than that. I had found my calling...flower nurturer. I learned a lot from these small delicate living beings. I started out by, what I though was helping them, to what I then realized was there way of enlightening me. I WAS THEIR BABY!
Here Karinna took pictures of me with my flower buddy. Look how adorable we look together. We match in color and cuteness. Look how I can't keep my eyes off the beautiful little flower being. I am in a trance, admiring it.

Now I don't know when the people at my school will finally comprehend the idea of a detachable collar. When will they understand that I am not trying to look like a stripper!? When will they understand that I can have a collar, without wearing the rest of the shirt. The collar shown here is my glitter version, which was inspired by the Miu Miu booties from F/W 12.

Now this is another controversial piece. The pin of the unknown child that I wear with pride. No people this isn't my baby picture! No people I don't know who this is! I just wear it because I feel like the soul of the child, that is trapped in the picture, accompanies me wherever I go. No I will not put a picture of myself in the pin! Who do you take me as? A narcissistic freak!? I love this child, which I don't know if to call a little a boy with an Anna Wintour cut, or a girl with an Anna Winour cut, OR MAYBE A BABY PICTURE OF ANNA HERSELF! However, I take pride in being the owner of this pin, which may have belonged to one of, if not, the most powerful woman in fashion. I also feel like a soldier with this as my badge of honor, blessed by Queen Wintour.
Behold the desert beauties of my local church. Complete with beautiful colors.

Amen Fashion

This month has been quite hard for this blog. My cousins are visiting from Mexico, and even though I thought I would have lots of time to be antisocial and bitter, I haven't had time to really do much since I like hanging out with them.

When they came to visit I had my room go through a "deep-cleaning". This meant getting rid of anything I didn't need, or use everyday. The first to go were my stacks of magazines on top of my dresser. At the end I was left with an empty dresser, so after much thinking (maybe like 3 min) I decided on making an altar. Then the next problem popped up, who would I make the altar dedicated to? I wanted someone that I loved and worshiped...Lady Gaga? Blake Lively? Freja? Daphne?

So I thought, I love Vogue since it's like my bible, so that means I would have to worship the creator... Anna Wintour.
My altar began with regular things that i found in my room that looked old or antiqued. Then I went and added candles, and some rocks from my old rock collection.

I also went ahead to look at some other people's altars on Google. Most of the really creeped me out because they were all either Satanic or Wiccan. Being brought up in a Catholic household, I was always told to be afraid of witchcraft and the devil, so it really brought out childhood fears.

The candles are from my room, the living room, and the closet. The rocks I used are obsidian, quartz, and a fossilized shell. The boxes are all antiques and gifts. The Eiffel Tower is a souvenir from Paris.

In the East box I have my sunglasses (the special ones) that I collected from thrift stores. The bottom ones flip up like Micky Mouse ears. While the top ones are Versace 676 Vintage wannabes. Both I only use on special occasions.
On the West side, we have my all my prized necklaces. My triangle tribal necklace is from Cotton On, the Unicorn is from F21, the crucifix is from my church, and the favorite deer necklace is from F21.
Over my altar I put the spread from Vogue September 2010. I liked it because it had a lot of my fashion favorites and since my altar is mostly about fashion, I thought it was important to incorporate them. On the right side I pinned a picture of Carine Roitfeld because I loved her work for Vogue Paris. In the center is a picture of Anna Wintour from her WSJ cover.
At the bottom is a picture of the Fashion Holy Trinity, which I found the picture on Tumblr and had to have it above my altar since it was exactly what my vision was. Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and André Leon Talley really inspire all of us Vogue readers, so it was important to include them. (had to include Anna more than once)

The outfit that I wore to inaugurate my altar was composed of a Halloween costume (the black robe), and another piece of black fabric for the head piece.
My mom found this look really creepy and thought that I was turning into a satanist. She still doesnt really get the idea of a fashion blog, but she will one day. I was at first going for a look that made me look like a nun, but then I really decided to go for a "monk" look.
I really hope to add to my altar as the years go by. I wanna find some cool stuff like this Wiccan altar. Maybe just something less creepy. (Unless I decide to make a creepy altar)
These crosses from Romeo + Juliet would look perfect in my room. Maybe they can be in the hall, and lead to my room. I can dream right?

This altar was clearly for fun, and even though I am very spiritual I don't take this altar as something I use to worship, but more to honor the people the inspire me everyday.
